Electro-Voice make pro audio products including microphones, amplifiers and loudspeakers for live, studio, broadcast and venue use. Their innovations saw them given an Academy Award for their 642 Cardiline shotgun mic, and they were the first to use neodymium magnets in microphones. Artists using Elecro-Voice mics include Stevie Wonder and Radiohead. The company was formed in Indiana, USA in 1930 and is now owned by Bosch Security Systems.
