An upgraded form of the traditional Jazz Bass, notable differences include noiseless pickups, active circuitry and tweaked neck joint and bridges for added playability. The active circuit can be turned off for passive playing, or when in use, allows the three band EQ boost and cut knobs to be fully utilized. To run the bass you need two 9-volt batteries which can be installed with a screwdriver. The noiseless ‘N3’ pickups are clean and solid, easily achieving all the famous jazz bass tones, and there is a pan knob to adjust the blend between the two. This is a very high quality instrument and part of one of Fender’s top product ranges.
